Forever, Interrupted - Taylor Jenkins Reid
“No matter how strong you are, no matter how smart you are or tough you can be, the world will find a way to break you. And when it does, the only thing you can do is hold on.”
I knew coming into this novel that I was going to like it. Little did I know, that I was going to LOVE it. Just kidding, I love everything TJR writes.

Synopsis: This book, much like TJR's other books, focuses on love and relationships. In this case, the love has been interrupted. Elsie, just nine days married, is grieving the loss of her husband, Ben, after a bicycle accident killed him on impact. Now, Elsie must meet her mother-in-law, Susan, who is grieving the loss of her son. Though the two never met each other, this story focuses on them, their loss, and their slow progress to feel normal again.
My Review (Spoilers): This book was an absolute delight. I don't know what it is about TJR, but she just makes the most believable characters and I am rooting for almost every single one. They act so real and I can imagine being their friend. That's what makes the heartache so painful in this book. You get the love that Elsie and Ben have though flashbacks, but you also get the love she has for her friends and eventually, for her mother-in-law.
The story starts off with the sordid accident. So we pretty much don't know anything about Elsie or Ben or their relationship in the beginning, which is fine. Through flashbacks, we get some insight to Elsie and Ben's dating life and eventually, their marriage. And their love isn't perfect either. They have their fights. They come to reasonable resolutions for those fights, but they know one thing for certain. That they are made for each other.
This books masterfully goes through the stages of grief and you get a chance to really feel for Elsie and the love she had for Ben. But you also understand the people around her, the ones that want to help her move on from him. As I said, you are rooting for everyone, because everyone has an important role to play.
Final Thoughts: There's not much more I can say for this book without majorly spoiling things. Also, I cannot capture the emotion that was put into this novel, you will just need to see for yourself. If you are a fan of romance, and are okay with getting emotional, this book is for you.
